Day 21 - Self-Care Choose Your Own Adventure Now with Extra Love!
Updated: Nov 22
How It Works
30-Day "Choose Your Own Adventure" Self-Care Challenge where each day you choose between nurturing your inner Gremlin (embracing chaos, fun, and breaking rules) and being your Higher Self (grounded, nurturing, and wise).
This balance will help you explore both sides of your self-care needs, from lighthearted fun to deeper reflection.
Day 21: Self-Compassion Practice
Gremlin Choice:
Create a Self-Compassion Award: Make a fun “Self-Compassion Award” certificate for yourself with whatever art supplies you have. Celebrate any small step in kindness you’ve taken for yourself lately.
Higher Self Choice:
Self-Compassion Reflection: Write a kind letter to yourself, acknowledging challenges you’ve faced and offering yourself understanding and love.
Gratitude & Connection-Focused Self-Care
For the last part of November let’s weave in some gratitude and connection elements for those last 15 days to help create a richer sense of self and deeper bonds with others.
Day 21:
Reach Out and Reconnect
Reach out to a friend or family member you haven’t connected with in a while. Send them a thoughtful text or voicemail, letting them know they’re on your mind.
I know sometimes this can be tough. Especially if this family member or friend is someone you may not want to reach out to. This time of year may make that even more difficult for you.
I didn't talk to my mom for a year and I think it hurt me more than it hurt her. We're talking self-care here. Do what feels good to you! If you're hurting, do what feels right. Use your intuition and do whatever is going to be good for you in the long run. Sometimes that does mean talking to that person though, even if we don't really want to.
