Is Abstaining from Alcohol Better For Health & Spirituality?
My bestie and I love debating. Actually, I'll debate with anyone. It's fun and I always learn something. Plus, I feel like it's so cool to hear the inner thoughts of another person. How special is that? I have such a love for people sharing their inner thoughts, that debating has become an almost intimate experience.
In this discussion, Candice and I talk about alcohol.
I do not drink. Not by choice really, my body just does not allow any alcohol consumption. It's almost as if I'm allergic to alcohol, so you might not want to hear my opinion. That said... I'm going to give it anyway, cause that's what I do!
Candice: So tons of people I've come across in the spiritual community say drinking alcohol is canceled. That it's low vibe activity and we shouldn't partake. Others say drinking in moderation is okay. And some say it matters only what you view it as, because that changes the vibe on the thing itself.
Christina: With all things there is balance, right? So, if we're attempting drinking games and getting smashed, I think we can quickly get off balance and go somewhere our spiritual selves would not have taken us. Plus, it's difficult just to LIVE life if we're hung over. Which is why I originally stopped drinking. Not due to spirituality but because my body hates drinking any alcohol. I was even excited to spend some time with my sister for New Years but backed out strictly because they drink and I don't want to be a wet noodle! Not that I ever would be but seriously, I didn't want to mess up their vibe.
Christina: And isn't that the entire point? We do things sometimes because society tells us to. Whether we're protecting ourselves or just trying to be cool, we have choices to make. This is one of those.
Candice: What do you guys think on the subject? My view on this is continually changing and evolving because of perspectives from people like you! Excited to grow together!
Christina: Like Candice, I'm also very excited to hear what you think. I think this subject could pertain to so many things that we're subjected to on a daily basis. Is there a such thing as going too spiritual?
